PR and Marketing for Manufacturing and Handling and all that stuff

Boring Marketing for Boring Businessses

Back in 2019, I set up Bloody Marketing, an agency that focused on making boring businesses exciting. We found, however, that with the advent of AI and the ever diminshing demand for an external agency to provide creative work, that the market we sat in was not a long term bet.

Leapfrog Marketing was the answer to that. I acquirered this PR and Marketing agency that had been running since before I was born. That’s a scary thing to say. It’s got a pretty keen foothold on the manufacturing, handling, and logistics industry, and has some beefy clients in the space that made it a really strategic purchase.

Wait so you bought a business?

Yeah, turns out that once you have a business running pretty well, it’s a total thing you can do to just buy another. I’ve learnt a lot from the purchase, and I’m now looking to expand my portfolio further. If you’re looking at selling your business or you know somebody who is, please let me know.

Nice, so what makes it different from the other one?

Good question, thanks for asking. Bloody Marketing’s offering is predominantly digital, whereas Leapfrog is much more focused on higher barrier to entry services, like press management, and high ticket, niche videography. Leapfrog really excels at creating outstanding case studies for businesses in industries that often deal with manufacturing and logistics.

Most people in the marketing and PR space do not understand the nuances of those industries to properly communicate and sell high end kit to descerning customers, and that’s where Leapfrog comes in. It’s one thing to say that you’re really good, it’s enough to hear your customer say it for you, in a trusted publication that everybody in the biz reads.

But what about the frogs?

I know right? I fucking love frogs, and I didn’t even name the thing! Just a happy coincidence, and the whole brand is based around frogs too. Did somebody say “destiny“?
